Wordless Wednesday: Which Photo of Pretty Mewsette?

“Pretty Mewsette”

(But here were the runners-up! I took all these photos in two minutes, then it took me a day to decide which one I wanted to be the special one. I’m still not sure!)

    • Tabbies, I’m not so sure about those–Mewsette’s face looks bigger than it really is and I’m not sure why, it’s not foreshortening. But I always loved the way cats curved.

#s 1,11 and 18, with Pretty Mewsette being #1. I hope today’s post was in response to my complaint about the blatant lack of Mewsette in your daily pictures, thanks to Jelly Bean’s hogginess!!

    • Maureen, we go through cycles here–each of them spends special time with me for a day or two, and Mewsette sometimes goes off and sleeps on the shelf at the top of the stairs or under the bed for a few days. She needs her alone time. Then she comes out and she’s all over me!

But how do you know which photos are which? Can you see the titles?

The first one is titled Pretty Mewsette and I counted the rest.
Kelly used to have places where she would hang out for a few days at a time. In the kitchen, curled up on top of the kitty litter box by the rad had been her favorite place since winter started. Last week she hid in the towel cupboard in the bathroom, also equipped with a rad. Then she spent a day and a half visiting us right in the middle of the living room floor, before hiding behind the couch her last few hours.

        • Wow, I’m impressed!

My Kelly did the same thing in the months before she died. One day in summer she disappeared in the basement and it turned out she was way in the back of the bottom of the chest freezer. I only knew because JB was sitting next to it and kept looking at it. I lowered a mirror behind it and shone a flashlight on it, and that reflected on her eyes. She eventually came out and seemed normal, but that sort of thing was not.

I can see why you are still not sure, as they all are special!!!

    • Anita, I love the softness of her expression in this one–Mewsette is so gentle–but right now I also like the one where her face is fully turned and she looks quite sculptural. Later it will be something else, I’m sure!

    • So did I, Island Cats–she just kept turning her face here and there and I just kept snapping, who knows how long it might have gone on!

  • My favorites are the one where he uses all the space in the photo and the one where he looks straight in front of him.

    • She does have a big presence, doesn’t she, Traveling Cats? I didn’t crop these, just posted them, but Mewsette can surely fill a frame!
