Sweetly Sleeping: From A Year Ago

Sweetly Sleeping

Another post from the archives, one of my favorites of Cookie, sleeping with her head on my arm so I can’t move.

I’ve been looking at Cookie sleep for 19 years, but I could look at a face like this, nestled in the ruffles on my sweater, all the rest of the evening. I certainly didn’t move my hand too much until she awoke! I know Cookie waited all her life to have the seniority for first dibs on me, and I don’t take a minute from her.

Tears are flowing here Bernadette. My love to you both. Please give her a gemtle kiss from me? Many prayers and thoughts are with you.

Linda, sorry to worry you! I tried to get the next post out as quickly as possible so no one would think anything was wrong–I just wanted them in this order and knew I might not pull it off. But we are okay!
