September Featured Artwork and Desktop Calendar: “Napping With Colors in Mind”
After much debate (with myself) about back-to-school themes, autumn colors, my own current favorites, and choosing a style I haven’t used in a while just to keep it lively, I’ve decided an ink and marker sketch black cat with his cheek resting on a cup full of colorful pens is a good choice for all of those things. For once, this art doesn’t have a big story.
Giuseppe must surely be absorbing some of the colors of the pens in my pen cup. I certainly thought the colors were inspiring next to Giuseppe’s black fur! Because he was sleeping I had the time to get more detail on his face than usual.

- Click on one of the images below that matches the dimensions of your monitor to open the image in a new page.
- For desktop computers and laptops, right-click on that image and on a desktop computer choose “save as desktop wallpaper” or “save as background” or whichever option your operating system gives you to be able to do this. You may also simply save it to your hard drive and set it as your background from there.
- For mobile devices, download the image to your gallery then choose it as your wallpaper—this is slightly different on all devices.
