Rachel Carson, From Pittsburgh Farmhouse to International Conservation | Paths I Have Walked
Conservation and ecology are part of backyard wildlife habitats and a lot of other things. For the coming of spring this week I shared this article I wrote on my writing blog and I thought my readers here would enjoy it.
Rachel Carson’s name may immediately bring to mind “Silent Spring”. Though that is her best-known work she was an award-winning writer long before its 1962 publication, and found her way to that subject and international fame from a distant starting point—a log cabin in a rural community near Pittsburgh.
