Poem for Sunday: Mewsette Ponders Green

black cat with green dish
Mewsette Ponders Green

The world alight in
green
shades more than
I
have
brilliant
life
given
giving
and glows in
spring
showers on all
I
love.

A little abstract ode to spring to accompany a little sort of abstract photo of Mewsette pondering the green plate, showers on her nose, and it does glow with the life-giving sun of late afternoon.

We’ve been enjoying the greening of the world outside. Soon it will be summer, but for now it is still the newness of spring.

  • I like your poem! Here in northern FL it’s practically summer, so it’s nice to remember spring.

    • Thank you, Rumpydog! We had little spring here, just long cool weather, then 90 degrees, but with the trees leafed out but not totally covered it’s that lovely dappled leafy look that I love best of all the seasons.
