Join Us at the Pittsburgh Pet Expo

pittsburgh pet expo
My display at the Pittsburgh Pet Expo.

Today is the third and last day of the Pittsburgh Pet Expo but you can still join us at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. I’m there with my merchandise and art along with Pittsburgh PetConnections Magazine and over 200 other exhibitors, including nearly every shelter and rescue group in the area.

You can read the list of events and view and download a PDF of the program which includes a list of vendors on the Pittsburgh PetConnections website.

You can probably tell I’ve been a little preoccupied with two big events in one weekend—whew! it’s been a whirlwind of preparing and traveling for the whole past week! If you’re in Pittsburgh I hope you can make it in to see us.

  • Impressive display of your treasures, Bernadette. I hope you got some good sales, your wares are splendid, n you deserve some bit of profits to go towards your rescue work.
I hope you all did well there.. n enjoyed meeting up with all your other rescue bods.. sometimes with people you’ve only ‘met’ by phone or email.
I saw the photos of a few folk you met :))
[I think it was all a bit much for Pheonix, though, who looks freaked out in the second photo.. I don’t think taking him, n for everyone to go “Aww!!”, was a very Thoughtful thing to do. Cats can get very embarrassed by things that aren’t 100% about themselves.. n strangers are surprisingly poor at maintaining boundaries with cats, who they know are in strange circumstances]

    • Thanks, Annie–these things are more about things for pets than things for people and sales are never very good, but things turn up later. It was excellent to put faces with the names though!

Phoenix loves people and being in the public so it was fine for him to be there. He goes to all the events. He was fine all weekend, after all his care he’s totally accustomed to being handled–he gets his diaper changed! But not in public! He’s actually a real clown, and makes faces all the time. Don’t worry, we would never take a cat to a public place who wasn’t comfortable with it.

    • P.S. I think I was more traumatized by all the loud noises and constant dogs barking than he was–and many of the other cats as well!
