It’s International Box Day!
No wonder everyone was in boxes today! In singles and pairs, all the cats were celebrating International Box Day, perhaps even beginning with Greenwich Mean Time since the celebration began last night.
Above, Mr. Sunshine shows how one cat can be in two boxes at the same time!
Below Giuseppe and Bean show how two cats can fit in one box that’s clearly too small for them.
Well, they had to let a little bit hang out.
And then I picked up a box that was empty—or so I thought. I was darned surprised when it looked at me!!
And last night, Mimi and Giuseppe look a little unhappy with their accommodations. A nicer box perhaps? Mimi can be such a princess. And no other species but the cat can look so displeased when doing something they always find fun! And they are having fun, or they wouldn’t stay there! I can’t figure them out sometimes.
Kelly would not stay in her chosen box, but kept hopping in and hopping out, then decided to inhabit the windowsill upstairs. That was originally planned as today’s photo before International Box Day came up because she’s darned cute!

hey thanks for the link! We like your “fresh express” duo.
I usually do name them after the box they are in, but these two in particular hardly looked fresh!
All these cats in boxes… all over the Internet! What’s a dog to do?
Go find a box, RumpyDog! Dogs can play too!
You wouldn’t catch us sharing a box – especially one as small as that!
P.S. Thanks for the mention!
It’s all in the family here, no one gets anything to themselves! Thanks for letting me know about Box Day!
