February Catnip Chronicles
It’s with a heavy heart and no small amount of disbelief that I learned the publisher of this wonderful monthly e-magazine, Kent Butler, passed away early this morning. His dedication to providing the best content in an interesting mix made Catnip Chronicles just like a good old printed newsletter, something Kent and I shared notes on during the time I knew him. He had just published his 100th issue in December, and was looking toward more great issues to come. But even more than the magazine, he was devoted to the welfare of cats, and shared his own each day on Facebook. I’m sure they’ll be lost without their daddy. My thoughts are with those who loved him.
Visit the Catnip Chronicles site and read the February issue for articles and stories for and about feline health and lifestyle and photos of lovely cats.
I have been happy supply the “Cat of the Month“, which this month is the watercolor at left, “Mother and Daughter, Sun and Shadow”, a bright and warming image for the cold month of February. I also have a story, a reprint of “The Unintended Gift”.
This month includes 20 features including images and photo galleries, and many articles about understanding your cat—as a cat, by veterinarians and other professionals, plus many stories from feline rescuers and caretakers, all things you’ll enjoy and want to bookmark for later reference.
That’s only a small portion—take your time and enjoy the read. It just won’t be the same without Kent.

That is very sad news 🙁
Bernadette, I am playing catch-up on your postings, and just encountered this one.
I, too, am sorry that you lost someone very special. We all lost someone special in Kent, it seems.
Meg, he put together a wonderful electronic publication each month, and he was a constant advocate for cats and feline welfare.
