Daily Sketch: What Are You Doing Up There?

I am working. They are not permitted on my table, therefore, they absolutely need to be up here with me. As a result, they are literally getting underfoot. I am hoping they will lose interest and go have a nap since I have glue, paint or finish on several items on the table upon which they are not permitted. It would be an absolute disaster if one of them jumped up here. So I keep Giuseppe and Mr. Sunshine mesmerized by keeping eye contact while I do a sketch, long enough for things to set so that I can lure them out of the room.

I am glad to report they both stayed on the floor.

But don’t worry, I did have adequate eye-level supervision. Mimi was in a box in the back of everything and promised to stay put.

Working with cats always has an exciting element of risk and danger.
