Daily Sketch Reprise: Love Cats
This is actually from last August so it isn’t the usual reprise, but still it’s one of my favorites, when I caught something in a sketch that I hadn’t realized, and like the way it all worked out. Another for Valentine’s Day!
Mewsette and Mr. Sunshine were bathing each other on my chair (yet more chair stealing today), and I sketched around, holding my place with my pencils until I caught the moment when, as Mewsette washed her brother’s face, he slipped his paws around her shoulders. That’s sweet enough, but when I finished the sketch and leaned it up on my drafting table to get a slight distance view and impression of it I saw the heart shape. How sweet could they be? What a lucky moment.
And if you need a black kitty to fill your life, who better than a kitty rescued on Valentine’s Day?!
This lovely kitty was sealed in a box and left at a kennel near Pittsburgh! I’ve named her Valentine for now.
She’s young and “soooooooo friendly” as her rescuers describe her, but she’s a little confused. Who would do that to a sweet friendly kitty?
They will pay for her spay (if necessary) and her shots, but they already have a cat in the house who does not like other cats and three cats in the barn, which is their kennel.
They would love to find a foster or a permanent home for her. Can you help this kitty?

Too sweet. They’re like Sabre and Shadow are together. They actually fall asleep with their legs around each other, after a good grooming.
Susan, they are so wonderful to watch–they are all related so it’s not uncommon, but in all the years I’ve had cats they were all unrelated. This is always very special.
