Daily Sketch Reprise: Four Cats Bathing

marker sketch of four cats bathing
Four Cats Bathing, marker © B.E. Kazmarski

What black cats? The Fantastic Four again provide inspiration for a new idea. Of course, if they’d each held still for a little longer you could truly see they were bathing. Orange is Mr. Sunshine, blue is the Bean, green is of course Giuseppe Verdi and magenta is Mewsette.

I was out most of the day and did this late. Mr. Sunshine said he wasn’t going to pose until he had dinner, I said no one was getting dinner until I got my sketch done. The result is a frazzled looking Sunshine because he was being a brat.

They are drawn in ink markers using the brush tip for varied lines.

Funny how some things don’t change—today was much the same for me, and tonight they are identical to this!

Incidentally, this sketch is available mounted on a wood block in my Etsy shop as Four Cats Bathing 4×4 Wood Mount Print, and another sketch inspired by this from November 2012 is also available in my Etsy shop as Everyone’s On My Desk 4×4 Wood Mount Print.

Of course green would be Giuseppe Verdi! 🙂 Colorful and elegant all at once!

    • Or Joe Green as I called him as a kitten–especially here in Pittsburgh with the football connection! he matured into his opera star personality, though. I was surprised this was popular–I thought it was confusing but decided to post it anyway, and I’ll never try to second-guess my audience.
