Daily Sketch Reprise: Cat-eating Bag, 2014

It was another case of pulling artwork out of the bag to put away and leaving it standing in place there was immediately a cat in it, as if the cat had been under the art. He crouched in the bag, being secretive, but I knew he’d make an appearance. I sketched the bag first and waited for him to appear and chose a rather desperate-looking pose.
What do you think?
I have quite the collection of sketches of kitties interacting with bags. Does this look like a set of cards or a set of…something…to you?
Let me know what you think!

What was I sketching last year?
Pink and Green Cats, 2013
Just needed a bit of color today. Mewsette and Giuseppe were curled in tight balls and sleeping tucked up close together, Mewsette’s chin on his hip and his paw over his face.

Two Green Cats, 2012
Giuseppe is dark green, Jelly Bean is light green; I added the cranberry outlines for greater definition.
Bean is crouching just a bit as if he’s ready to lie down and curl up, but he really is significantly shorter than Giuseppe. Both are dozing under the kitty keep-warm lamps on my desk. Too bad for me if I need the light, quickly absorbed by two black cats.

Originals and Prints of Daily Sketches on Portraits of Animals!
It’s a sweet memory of the very first time two formerly feral fosters braved the first floor of the house. Bella and Basil, respectively, are finally having some time on the first floor after thoroughly inspecting the second floor. They did need to be coaxed down by me and Bean, but after a few times of running up and down the steps they were exploring, little by little, sometimes together, most times not, then eventually playing.
