Daily Sketch Reprise: Blue-Brown Cats
Mewsette gave Jelly Bean a very slow and thorough bath, just right for a sketch for me because they weren’t moving too much.
The blue is really more of a teal and I like that color—it’s in the cup of old pastel pencils I have at my desk so it’s always easy to grab. It wasn’t strong enough to carry the shapes, though, and once I got the teal sketch done it looked a little muddled. I chose the chocolaty sepia to add just an outline for definition, the warm color a nice complement to the cooler teal.
My goodness, I’d almost forgotten about this one—still one of my favorites!

Faraday wants to know why no one ever wants to give HIM a slow & careful bath. To which I say, “because you’re a BRAT.” 😉
Gorgeous sketch – as always!
Thanks guys! Jelly Bean can be a brat too and relies on his cuteness to get a nice bath from his sister, since he knows she’s a soft touch!
