Daily Sketch Reprise: Back to Front
And that’s just how I visualized this “line drawing”—from the point of Bella’s tail that meets her back, out and back and around and over to her shoulder, then over to her face, from back to front. The little feline, I was so concerned I’d muss it up.
When I’m working on other things in a particular style and medium, I like to do something different to take a little break.
Where to find this artwork
I’ve made this sketch into something unique: a clay pendant. They are made from air-dry clay because I love the smooth porcelain appearance. I had a rubber stamp made of the image which I will no doubt use as a rubber stamp on paper and things, but I also wanted to be able to ink it up and press it into the wet clay.
I’d intended to make only one shape and size and sell it with just a jump ring and piece of ribbon, but once I get into a project I have to explore all the possibilities. I made four shapes, and then I decided to see how it looked on some of the wires/strands/cords available in stores, and when I did I decided to include that as part of the gift–because once I’d seen it I couldn’t *not* include it!

Bedroom Eyes, 2012
Mr. Sunshine sidles up next to me on the counter and gazes straight up at me with narrowed eyes, slowly blinking. I am under his spell.
