Daily Sketch: Quick Sketch of a Quick Bath

ink brush pen sketch of cat bathing
“Quick Sketch of a Quick Bath”, ink brush pen, 6″ x 6″ © Bernadette E. Kazmarski

There is so much energy in a cat’s bath, and graceful shapes and movements, it’s one of those things I describe trying to sketch as when we used to play jump rope and you’d watch the rope go round and round, trying to figure the best time to leap in. So I hold the brush pen above the paper and follow Bean’s movements with my hands and eyes and finally start with an ear, but before I’m half done he’s in another posture entirely. Such fun!

    • That goes right from the eyes to the hand, Carolyn–not a stop in between for thought!
