Daily Sketch: Looking Out the Window
Jelly Bean peeks through the cafe curtains as I sit at my desk working after dark; what he can see out there is probably something I would never be able to see, but he is raptly attentive.
A lot of ink sketches lately; I’ve been exploring line and pattern, shading and even just outlines, leaving the color out intentionally. This one, however, I am tempted to add color to at some point, in part for the gentle tan and brown tones as well as the blue and deep red in the curtain.
Ironically, I like it better at about one-quarter this size—the lines and shadows work much better.

I love it! You so quite talented. Can I interview you sometime for my blog?
RumpyDog, thanks so much! I owe it all to my fine felines. We’d love an interview!
