Daily Sketch: Dona Nobis Pacem 2013

November 4 is the international “Blog Blast for Peace” where all we bloggers post our wish for peace on earth. My peace isn’t always reflected in my cats, but most often it is. That’s in part because I believe a compassion and love for the animals who are our companions helps to instill compassion for all living things. We don’t hurt the things for which we feel compassion, therefore we live in a peaceful world where we cherish all that lives around us.

I also believe that when we see beauty, we feel love for the thing we find beautiful, and we feel peace within ourselves in that love and our appreciation of the beautiful.  Likewise when we indulge in any appreciation of creative effort.

And when we create beautiful things, we feel love and peace in the creation of them.
