Daily Sketch: Coming Back to Bed?
I hadn’t made the bed yet, perhaps Jelly Bean and Giuseppe thought I’d join them to be their favorite warm body pillow. They certainly looked inviting, though I ended up making the bed as they settled in for a serious afternoon nap. Finishing my sketch was better than a nap.
I began this in my set of gray pastels, and what appears black is actually one of the darker grays. I’d intended to keep it in gray but instinctively/accidentally reached for my pastel pencils for the shading. Guess I’m accustomed to using them, but I want to get back to the gray set again as I had used them in “A Dozen Shades of Gray”.

Lovely 🙂
Black cats are pawsome as their furs show different colours in the sun .
Tillie has a lot of red and brown. Julie some brown.
Those kitties do look very inviting 🙂
Tillie and Georgia, it could be the two of you, if you ever sat that close! Someday you will. And black kitties are very colorful if you ask me!
Oh that definitely is my favorite so far. I know there probably others, but I really like this one. Especially since they are black cats. Good stuff. Take care.
Marg, thanks so much! Love those black kitties. Thanks for visiting.
This is so sweet!
Thanks, Ingrid! I have to reconsider this sketch, of which I was not overly fond but posted for the sake of honesty in my daily sketch series. I’ve had a great response–I guess two sweet kitties waiting in bed are a favorite no matter what.
