Daily Photo: You Wanted Up the Steps?
Well, why did you put a cat bed at the bottom?
We are not moving.
It took us quite some time to arrange ourselves in three perfect loaves.
And we are perfect.
There is a furnace vent there…there was once a floor vent and when I moved the steps I turned the vent to exit through the front of the bottom step.
My fault.
This was a really horrible photo to begin with, but a test for what Photoshop and a little bit of touch-ups can do. I have a painting leaning against the file cabinets which blocks all the light from the window, and then, of course, Mewsette and Mr. Sunshine are solid black, and Bean has only his little clerical collar and white ear brushes, but just trying to make the camera focus in all that darkness—and it was very dark right there—poor thing just couldn’t do it well. With the flash, they all closed their eyes, not as cute. When I laid down on the floor to steady the camera, they all got up and came over and walked on me. End of photo session.
But I did manage to get upstairs okay.

perfect cat spot! It has everything going for it.
Cynthia, it’s been popular even before the Five–it was one of Moses’ favorite spots too. Hope all is well out your way!
too funny!!!!!
Caren, it’s either that or a doorway, how else do they get any attention around here?!
Even without a bed and furnace, there’s just something about stairs that cats seem to love. I’m forever having to climb over them and watch really carefully before I walk down them (don’t want a flat cat 🙂 )
Susan, I have to admit I have horrible visions of falling on them or dropping something on them. It literally keeps me on my toes!
