Daily Photo: Solar-powered Garden Cat

black cat in garden
Solar-powered garden cat, in black, absorbing the thermonuclear reactions.

Mimi’s not sleeping, she’s absorbing thermonuclear activity to store for use later, when the rain comes and it gets chilly again.

Black is the best color for this activity.

Nothing like a few good, weathered tomato stakes to dig your claws into.

What other photos have I shared on this date?

Giuseppe and a Stink Bug, 2011
black cat paw and stinkbug
The stinkbug appears.

With some amount of disinterest, Giuseppe, or at least his paw and his big nose, follow a stink bug across my desk, eliminating the possibility of me getting any work done for at least ten minutes.

    • She did spend some time chasing her children around. One of these days I have to video her at play. She truly looks like a kitten!

  • What a great photo. We can tell that Mimi is so happy and content soaking up the sun. We will watch a stink bug for hours but won’t touch them or eat them like we will other bugs. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

    • Kitties Blue, Mimi’s got a great smile on doesn’t she? Sunshine does eat the stink bugs, but he’s a tough guy.

    • Bluemoonalone, she was so happy, and then warm and purring, there was nothing like it.
