Daily Photo Reprise: Cookie’s Biggest Fan, 2010
I will always thank Mewsette for taking care of Cookie.
Has Mewsette adopted Cookie?
I’ve often noticed Mewsette being near Cookie, sitting, sleeping, bathing, sometimes trying to do a gentle nuzzle or head-butt which is summarily rebuffed by Cookie. “I don’t need any babysitting!” Cookie would say. However, I’ve lately seen Mousse cuddling with or near Cookie—after she’s fallen asleep, of course!
Perhaps like Giuseppe in the way he adopted Peaches years ago, cuddling, keeping her warm, giving her his youthful energy, Mewsette will finally have her way with Cookie. Cookie couldn’t ask for a nicer understudy in Mewsette, big, strong, quiet and sweet.
A sweet memory from this date in 2010.

Dear Bernadette, Thank you for sharing the story of sweet Mewsette careing for of your sweet Cookie. It always amazes me the lessons we humans can learn from our soulfull relationships with our innocent and very wise furry friends. Humans should care and closely observe our loved one’s and other people in need. Sometimes just taking the time to listen to a stranger’s stories or recognizing another’s person’s need for a nuzzle ( a warm hug), can make a huge difference in the person’s day or create a wonderful memory to hold onto when life gets us down. We’ve all been there.
Happy New Year and blessings to you, all of your furry loves and the people you love and care for. Thank you, Bernadtte. Purrs & nuzzels to all, Angel’s Mamma
You’re exactly right, Denise–I doubt that if any animal passes up the opportunity to care for another animal in need it isn’t because they are having a busy day. They always take the time.
