Daily Photo: MGM House Panther Bean

It’s another MGM House Panther—Jelly Bean!

Jelly Bean tries out the MGM House Panther look after his brother Giuseppe did a few months ago. He thinks the famous movie studio should update its image. Lions are endangered and should not be used for silly things like movie logos.

“House panthers rule, don’t you think?”

What did you think of that?

A visitor in the studio!

Emeraude finds a box.

Emeraude really has been feeling feisty lately. Usually she doesn’t leave the bathroom, but last night as I was working and the Five were sleeping in a massive heap behind the door, I saw from the corner of my eye another black kitty on the landing. It turns out a small box was irresistible to her and she stepped into it, turned around a few times and sat down to wash her face.

That wasn’t enough, though, as she came strolling in to visit and checked behind the door to see Mimi and the rest of them. She took a little tour around the room smelling everything at nose height, then went back to her fluffy bed in the toasty bathroom. I was so glad to see her up and about for just a little bit!

  • B, how DID you get that picture of Jelly Bean “roaring” – were you just in the right place at the right time?

    • Chris, it’s a little blurry, but yes, I was shooting repeatedly–no time to put my camera on “burst shot” so it would take photos even more quickly. But I’m always on the lookout for a good yawn!
