Daily Photo: Giuseppe Does Windows
So what is happening here—is Giuseppe signaling the squirrel or worshipping the rising sun? A variation on the Japanese Maneki-Neko? Surely he’s not welcoming the despised tabby cat with white paws. No, as his Mama Mimi and Mewsette look on, Giuseppe is cleaning the window.
Several of my cats through the years have done this—virgorously wiped a window with one or both paws, diligently leaning into it with first the right paw, then the left, and sometimes furiously pedaling with both paws while sitting on their haunches. Stanley cleaned the window he was looking out of each morning as I left for work. Nikka cleaned each window as she made the rounds and looked out of it. Cookie, always original, cleaned alternate shiny surfaces, like tabletops and my glass-topped light box for artwork.
Giuseppe adds a new twist by singing as he works, nope, now measly whistling for this opera star, Giuseppe Basil Verdi entertains with an entire aria in his fine castrati tenor. Yes, a video is a must for anyone to enjoy this display.

But wait until you hear him sing! I warn you ladies, Giuseppe is already taken.
When will we be able to view the promised video? I’m sure his older brothers will enjoy watching it, too.
Filming Giuseppe may create a monster…
