Daily Photo: Girly Girl

That’s one of the nicknames I have for her. She’s such a little girly girl sometimes! She is always lovely. And so photogenic! She’s now well accustomed to me staring at her when I focus for a photo and I swear she’s learned to pose; I would guess Bella talked to her about that. She enjoys the top of the wardrobe and even shares time there with her brother and other cats. Just this week she figured out how to “surprise” me—when I go in the bathroom she quietly hops up there and waits until I come through the door, then she stand up and waves her tail all around and struts to the end of the top and waits for me to pet her. I’m tickled with this, and so happy!

And then there’s her brother, who is a changed cat. Ophelia sits in this spot sometimes when I come up the steps, and she once ran into the bathroom but now waits for me to pet her. Hamlet sits here, or I should say he reclines, as he is here, and lately he lets me pet him too.

MONDAY NIGHT

Hamlet and Ophelia sit together on the windowsill in my bedroom upstairs as I come up the walk to my porch. I have always loved seeing kitties there at night, waiting for me.

TUESDAY

Mimi has a good scratch on the on wood bench before starting on her morning. It’s amazing there is anything left to this bench after so many years of cats doing the same.

Later she naps in the shade under the swing and watches the wildlife between the houses.

Last Week Sometime…

The sun is shining but sometimes things just aren’t right–the yard is soaking wet, there are spiderwebs everywhere you turn, and that CATBIRD won’t shut up! #firstworldcatproblems #littleblackcat #littlemimicat #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #blackcatsarebeautiful #catsontables #catsinthesun

Basil just doesn’t know what to think.
