Daily Photo: Break in the Weather
Mimi was sure she’d never be able to download all her messages before she decided wet leaves were just too uncomfortable. There have been times I wished I’d been able to check pee-mail so I could find out more about the cats I see around the neighborhood. Mimi does not divulge their encrypted communications.
Mimi and I got our paws muddy today as the temperature finally rose above freezing—30 degrees warmer than yesterday, in fact—and she had the chance to check her pee-mail after several days stuck inside. Tomorrow rain is forecast so we made the most of a few messy minutes. It’s like that when the ground is still somewhat frozen but all the snow melts on top, making everything very soggy and still very, very cold.
She wandered down the garden path as we reminisced about our sweet summer days in the sun. We both stood really still as we did our best to manifest the greenness and flowers.

2013: Mimi Explores the Garden
Well, this was actually from January 12 last year, but it’s close enough for Mimi and me, and that was one of the first times she came outside with me.

If only the green and the warm could stay Mimi..Thank you for trying!
we’re having a break in our weather too! YAY!! Isn’t it great?
Caren, I don’t like rain in winter, but we were all getting tired of that cold. We didn’t get anywhere near as much snow as you!
love the colour-shift!!
We tried to make it happen for everyone, Maureen!
Maureen, Mimi and I did our best to bring it back for just a few seconds.
