Cookie’s Holiday Cheer, and the Photo Shoot That She Directed
I’ve been waiting to share this today, on Cookie’s anniversary day. Cookie was the sweetest tortoiseshell kitty you’d ever want to meet, but she was less than thrilled about modeling. Especially when she’d been…”decorated”. I’m here to tell you, though, that this whole thing was her idea! And I have the video to prove it!
We were all playing around that day—Peaches at 17, Giuseppe, Sunshine, Mewsette and Bean at five months old, Mimi only four years old and still playing mom, Namir and Kelly at 14 and Cookie at 15. They had gotten new Christmas catnip toys from a friend and strewn them all over the floor (okay, they had some help with the strewing), and all were feeling good, including me. I’ve always enjoyed putting things on Cookie, so I decided she should be decorated and proceeded putting toys on her head. She was completely complicit in the actions that followed.
It all started when I set the silver sparkle ball on Cookie’s head, and she gave me the tortie look, but stayed put. Cookie isn’t really wild about modeling for her mom’s stupid pictures. But you don’t see her running away. Too bad for Cookie.
Then it hit both of us, and we got a little set together, and the rest is history. Below is a slideshow with tacky Christmas music showing the sequence of events. Watch it here or on YouTube.
