Cats for Adoption: George, and the Other Greenbriar Kittens Go Home

George is the last one to go.
George is the last one to go.

Sunday was a big day for rescued kitties! George, above, is still up for adoption. The Siamese mix went home with Debby to go to her friend. The tux and the larger ginger kitten, now named Willie, both went home with Susan and her husband.

The boys are packed up and ready to go.

Susan and Mark are pretty excited about the new kittens. They’ve been preparing for days.

And I had posted about them on Friday…

The kittens had their date with destiny yesterday, and these three are going to their forever homes on Sunday! So is their mom, to give her a chance to adapt to indoor life. Just one ginger kitten left!

About George

Little George is looking for a home now too! He is the last of the Greenbriar kittens and still needs a little socialization, but he’s taken to playing with people and being petted. He has bold orange stripes and spots with a white bib and white paws. He is neutered, combo tested negative, has his rabies and FVRCP vaccines and is wormed and flea treated and microchipped. He is 14 weeks old and looks to be a medium to large boy by his build at this age. We will be doing a veterinary and housing check on potential adopters and charging an adoption fee. If you are interested, please contact m at bernadette at bernadette-k dot com.

And their little mom…

Allie is by herself to see if she is really interested in being indoors.

Allie isn’t terribly happy about being inside. She’s spent most of her time behind the curtains on the windowsill, or on the air conditioner as here, looking outside. I guess we’ll see. She is such a nice kitty despite the obvious fact she’s feral.

I hope that relating the details of my TNR and rescue projects I can help you if you’re new to it, commiserate and celebrate if you’re not, and help to spread the idea of why and how cats are rescued, how much work goes into rescuing, and how so many people are involved. Mostly, I hope to share why it’s important that we rescue cats, and all animals.
