Vintage Photo: Tiny Fromage

This is what happens when I look through old photos and find kittens! I’ll admit, I’ve been thinking about kittens—not adopting, but fostering, so I’m trying to work it out of my system by looking back through photos of other kittens. I found Mr. Sunshine from 2007 when the Mimi

All Nine Kittens Healthy and Adopted!

If you remember the nine orphaned kittens who were rescued by a resident of Polish Hill in Pittsburgh, then fostered by Elizabeth Bashur of Little House, Big Art, the news is out after nearly two months of feeding and fussing that all nine kittens are healthy, and all nine were

The Tails of Nine Orphaned Kittens

Who knows how nine kittens, all apparently the same age of just a few weeks, came to be found behind a restaurant on Butler Street in Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh, but there they were, crying for food in a pile of rubble. Wednesday, May 9, working on a patio behind the

Don’t Need It? Donate It—to Your Local Animal Shelter

And we’re not just talking about cat and dog food and a few blankets, but office equipment and household goods, too. If you check the “wish lists” of any organization that offers assistance to animals, you might be surprised at what you’d find they can use. On almost every list

A Little Life Saved

This is my “little baby foster kitty”, six weeks later. Quite the big girl compared to the little uncoordinated fuzzball who arrived (read “A Little Baby Foster Kitten” for the beginning of this story). She went to her forever home over the weekend, and while I miss her vibrant personality
