Bonne fête du Canada!
Giuseppe sings at the big north window regularly to serenade his French-Canadian love, Mlle. Daisy Emerald Marguerite, sure that his tidings travel magically to the northeast to the town of Kings by the river in Ontario in Canada. But today he adds a special greeting to all Canadians, who he loves because they are all Canadians like Mlle. and her human mama. “Bonne fête du Canada!” he sings, and tries his best at “O, Canada”.
Giuseppe’s human, of course, adds her greetings to this as well!
He adds a special warning to Mlle. to stay away from the great river St. Lawrence as there is a re-enactment of the War of 1812 and many tall ships sailing on the river! Though he dreams of how romantic it would be to sail down the St. Lawrence on a tall ship with his elegant lady by his side…surely there’s an opera about that!

Mlle. Daisy’s mom tells us Mlle. looks much like Mewsette.
