A Two-cat Shelf
Mimi and Kelly sleep butt to butt in the morning.
I set up a shelf above the things on my desk so my cats can look out the window without knocking the phone off the hook and knocking all my things around, as they had been doing. It accommodates up to five cats sitting up right, or two cats lying down. Two small cats.
I love the way their tails mirror each other. I actually began a sketch of them, but didn’t get too far before they moved. I finished it later; at some point I’ll start posting my daily sketches.

There is no better artwork near a desk than a completely relaxed cat!!
No, there isn’t, and while I’m sometimes inconvenienced to the point of not being able to work (which is happening as I type this) I am always honored that they enjoy my presence enough to crowd around me and relax.
This reminds me of an inbox tray my office cat Virginia used to sleep in at the animal hospital. Lovely photo!
Ingrid, I’ve always wanted to design a cat bed entitled “Inbox”. Kelly is the sweetest thing in the world when she sleeps, but sometimes she relaxes so much she rolls off the shelf.
