A Rainy Morning, and…a Video

three cats cuddling by window
On a Rainy Morning.

They were so darned sweet this morning when the rain was gently falling on all the leaves and the bird were tweeting their little hearts out. Mr. Sunshine and Mewsette were bathing themselves, each other and Giuseppe, who is that lazy lump between them, before settling down for a serious nap. I had originally planned to make a slideshow of the process, but decided to try out the video setting on my little camera.

It’s a little dark but you can reference the photo above to figure out who is bathing whom—apparently the settings I use for photographs don’t transfer to the video—and you can clearly hear the hiss of the rain and the tweeting birds. It was a very nice morning.

Okay, let’s see how this works…

If it doesn’t play above, here’s the link to it on my YouTube Channel (good heavens, I have a YouTube channel): http://youtu.be/vQ_FgFzm_78

  • It’s funny but it’s not until you see them move that you realise what little panthers they are.

    • Mark, they are graceful no matter what they do, and seeing two or more together is always amazing to me.

  • Purrfect! Cats grooming each other and birds singing!!

You know YouTube has editing facility – just found out myself! You can adjust brightness and contrast etc. I used it on mine which I took on my phone yesterday. LOL sounds a bit grandiose to say one has a YouTube channel, but apparently I do too!! 😉

    • Carolyn, thanks for the heads up. I took that one last year with my little camera, then found I had to convert it twice over to get it into a format usable on YouTube. After that experience there wasn’t much I could do with it! I’ve been experimenting with software since then, and the Adobe Creative Suite has a couple of programs I’ve learned to use. Now I just need to be able to video again–that little camera got dunked in the creek in the meantime…
