I Get Clean With a Little Help From My Friend
“Hold still, let me get this little spot behind your ear.”
All four of the siblings regularly bathe each other, as well as their mom giving them a little touch up now and then. It’s just a sweet and spontaneous action, like saying hello.
Here Giuseppe holds Jelly Bean in place to help him keep up appearances. I’m sure JB is as clean as can be, but G just has to let him know how he feels.
Of course, as often as it’s appreciated and returned in kind, it’s also turned into a wrestling match.
The cleaning sessions that turn into wrestling matches are so frequent here. I call it “the power wash”!
“Power Wash”, that’s good! I love to watch those wrestling matches–sometimes they turn back into baths and sometimes I find them sleeping together after they’ve wrestled.
My cat, Pippen, always used to groom her sister, Molly. I lost Pippen a few months ago, and I can tell how much Molly misses her regular grooming. Brushing her daily just isn’t the same.
Christine, I think of you all the time when I look at my family of four and wonder how the dynamics of your two are working after your losses. I hope it’s a very long time before we lose one of the Big Four–they are just past three years old–but they are so close I can’t imagine what it will be like for them.
And I don’t know how I quoted that song incorrectly!
Ditto @ my house except it seems to always end up with a wrestling match and a good chase.
Sometimes I call it “aggressive bathing”!
